So you’ve got some immigration paperwork to handle and someone told you it needs to be notarized? Don’t worry — it sounds more complicated than it is. At Notarized Xpress USA, we help with this all the time. Here are a few quick, easy tips to make the whole process smooth.
1. Not Everything Needs a Notary — But Some Things Do
Let’s start here. Not every immigration form needs a notary, but the ones that do are usually super important. Things like:
Letters of support
Sworn affidavits
Travel consent letters for kids
Power of attorney forms
Translations that need to be verified
If you’re not sure, ask your immigration lawyer or advisor before you book with us. Better safe than sorry!
2. Don’t Sign It Yet — Seriously
We know, you might want to sign everything early and get it done. But here’s the thing: if the paper needs to be notarized, you have to sign it in front of the notary. That’s kind of the whole point.
So, just hold off. Bring your documents and wait until we tell you when to sign.
3. Bring ID — A Good One
No ID = no notarization. We need to know you are who you say you are. A valid ID with your photo and name does the trick. Here’s what usually works:
Driver’s license
Passport
State or national ID
Just make sure it’s not expired!
4. Check Everything Before We Meet
Take a minute to double-check your docs before the appointment. Are all the pages there? Is everything filled in (except your signature)? Cool. That saves everyone time and avoids any back-and-forth.
And if you’re stuck or confused about something, just ask. We’re happy to help however we can — no stress.
5. Let Us Come to You
Running around town with paperwork isn’t fun. Good news: we come to you. Whether it’s your home, office, or even a coffee shop — we’re mobile, and we work around your schedule.
Weekends? Evenings? No problem.
One Last Thing…
We know immigration paperwork can feel heavy — and we’re here to help make at least one part of it easier. Whether it’s just one form or a whole folder, we’ll make sure your documents are notarized properly, quickly, and without stress.
